EPA RRP CERTIFICATION
Who Needs RRP Certification?
Any Contractor, painter, renovator or maintenance professional working on pre-1978 buildings, homes, schools or childcare facilities where lead based paint might be disturbed must obtain RRP Certification to comply with EPA regulations.
Certification requirements
- Complete an 8 hour EPA approved RRP training course.
- Pass both the hands-on and written exams during the course.
Certification Validity and Renewal
- RRP certification is valid for 5 years.
- To maintain compliance, professionals must take a refresher course before their certification expires.
